'Identify' genre RFId applications from Perspecte
- You are depending on manual processes to uniquely identify products/materials/assets/people (referred as ‘objects’ hereafter) using labels, colour codes, etc. Your business is growing and hence your manual identification processes are not only increasing the time to execute the processes but also increasing the error rates,
- Or you are using bar-codes to identify 'objects' but the identification is incomplete as bar-codes give the information on the type of object and doesn’t uniquely identify the objects. Barcode technology is not able to reduce the identification process time dramatically as the scanning has to be done sequentially and requires a clear line of sight,
- Or you are dealing with 'objects' in a tough physical environment where bar-codes are highly susceptible to damage,
- Or you are dealing with 'objects' of type requiring unique identification of the object as in the case of premium designer products, perishable products, etc.
- Reduce manual processes to identify 'objects'
- Reduce error rates in identification processes
- Enable migration from object type identification to identification of unique objects
- Increase the speed of identification process
- Identify large number of objects simultaneously
- Identify objects where bar-codes could not be used
These type of RFId applications use tagging of every object you want to identify and use simple readers to identify them without contact or line of sight requirements. Depending upon the identification location i.e within your enterprise network or outside the enterprise network, different methods of storing the unique information of the object can be chosen. For objects which need to be identified outside the boundaries of your enterprise, you can opt for common database systems like EPC or any other proprietary databases. You can also opt for tags with more memory capacity which can be used to write all unique information you want about the object, in the tag itself.
Perspecte offers range of solutions leveraging RFId technology mainly to identify objects in retail stores, supply chain and manufacturing environment.
